“The Missile Man” - Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam

               “If you want to shine like a Sun first burn like a Sun!”

The students and staff members of Vidhya MHSS, Jalladampet paid tribute to “The Missile Man” by conducting a special assembly on 27/7/17. Speech in English and Tamil were delivered by students and teachers to commemorate the life and works of the great legend. They had also designed a 40 feet long and 20 feet wide colourful image of Dr. Abdul Kalam with rock salt.

INTERACTIVE SESSION

The management of Vidhya Matric. H.Sec. School, Jalladampet had offered their faculty members an interactive session and workshop by Ms Rita Odumosu of United Kingdom. The workshop focused on the different learning disabilities amongst the students.  Within the UK and international arena, Rita has extensive expertise of education leadership, management and policy and a reputation for high quality project work, consultancy and innovation. Rita considers the CCL work vital to global development and welcomes challenges and opportunities to use her skills as a Trustee of the Education Fund.

FRIENDSHIP DAY

"A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself."
In tune with the spirit of the occasion, the day was dedicated to every friend at Vidhya Matriculation Hr. Sec School, Jalladampet. Euphoria of the day set in as everyone was excited to wish their best friends in their own special way.
The highlight of the day was a Student Exchange Programme between Vidhya school and Neelan Matriculation School, Guduvanchery.  20 students from each school visited the other as a gesture to spread the spirit of friendship. The agenda included Cake Cutting and making of LED Friendship Bands by the students.
The classroom activities involved Chart Making, Exchange of Photo Holders & Book Marks.
The idea behind the Friendship Day activities is to have fun on the occasion and to make their friends feel how special they are!  

 

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

In an effort to inculcate the importance of teamwork leadership and organizational skills, the swearing in ceremony of the Students’ Council was held at Vidhya MHS School, Jalladampet recently. Mr.Thirupathi MFJ, Lions Club presided over the ceremony and presented the badge to the council members. There was a toast by the Head Boy and our Correspondent led the council with their pledge.
