ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION

“Earth is common to all. We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children”
While the whole world believes in conservation and preservation of our natural environment, we have not only given it a thought, but have got our feet wet too. As a part of our eco club activity we have indulged ourselves in a technique called “Seed Bombing” or “Aerial Reforestation”. Unlike real bombs that are destructive, Seed Bombs are creative and are a simple way to add smiles to the face of planet earth. “We Throw them and Grow Plants”
Our students have ventured into an ecological restoration of the Vellakkal and Ponmar hills in order to heal the damages caused by Cyclone Vardha. They were so eager to bomb the locations with the seed balls. Let’s wait for nature to do its job in germinating the hidden seeds!
